Sound Healing

Sound Healing is an ancient technique in which instruments and voice are used to realign the body physically and energetically. Any sound is vibration; just as some sounds can lead us to feel stressed or uncomfortable, other sounds can induce us into feel relaxed and at ease.

Crystal bowls, made from quartz crystal, create pure and healing sounds that emit healing frequencies.

You can expect to be laying down throughout the session, cosied up in a blanket with an eye pillow whilst the magic happens. We will begin with a relaxing breathing exercise and meditation to assist in transitioning the nervous system into a relaxed state, followed by the playing of the bowls.

As we are made up of vibration, it’s the vibration of the bowls resonating with the body that creates shift so all you need to do is turn up and give yourself permission to relax.

In a fasted paced World, this practice gives space for self-healing. When we create space for ourselves, we have some of our best realisations, let go of what no longer serves us and most importantly reconnect to ourselves to be our best and truest versions of who we were born to be.

Breathwork

Breathwork refers to breathing exercises or techniques. I focus on yogic breathwork, also known as ‘pranayama’. Breathwork involves conscious control of the breath, with the intention of improving physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing. In the yogic tradition, breathwork emphasises the directing of ‘prana’, which is known as life force or energy to reach enlightenment, also interpreted as connecting to the intuition to better understand ourselves, self realisation and inner peace. Studies show that breathwork can boost immunity and reduce stress.

Mat Pilates

Pilates has come to be one of the most popular and well known forms of exercise. Many celebrities have popularised Pilates as it creates a long, lean, and sculpted physic. This is due to the combination of stretching and strengthening exercises and their precise order. The founder of this method, Joseph Pilates was incredibly purposeful in everything he did and this is recognised in the key principles of pilates; concentration, control, center, flow, precision and breath. As well as the mainstream physical benefits, Pilates is also well known amongst professional athletes for it’s role in injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Other potential benefits of the Pilates method include decreasing back pain, improving posture and flexibility.

Meditation

Our mind is our most powerful tool. It’s our mindset that determines how we perceive the world and live in it. Meditation is about training our mind to improve our awareness. Meditation isn’t blocking or resisting thoughts or emotions, it’s the opposite. When you become aware of your thoughts and feelings, you can better understand yourself. In the process of understand yourself you can gain a healthy mindset. Studies show that meditation can reduce stress and anxiety as well as improving sleep.

Spiritual and Philosophical Guidance

Spiritual and Philosophical guidance can take many forms. I use my experience and qualifications in eastern philosophy, talking therapies and guidance cards to support you in the way that suits you. These sessions may incorporate other modalities such as meditation, breathwork and sound healing if suitable.

“I’ve been doing yoga on and off for a number of years now but Issi is by far the best teacher I’ve come across. She teaches in the most beautiful relaxing way, always making sure everyone is practicing each pose correctly. Her classes are both challenging and relaxing the perfect balance. I’ve been lucky enough to attend a couple of Issi’s retreats, both day ones and longer weekend ones. They are such a treat to take part in and carefully organised to every little detail.

Issi also runs sound healing masterclasses to her and I can’t recommend taking part in these enough! What an experience!

I am grateful to have found Issi and will continue to enjoy her holistic approach to life for many years to come.”

Testimonials

“Issi is a kind spirit with a gentle soul, thoughtful, and patient. Her tailored practices are a great mix of strength, flow, deep breathing, and relaxation.

Issi has a very great way of passing on instructions, the guidance are vey clear in what she wants me to do, where I am supposed to feel the pose and what the purpose of the poses are.

The way she instructs, guides me through the sequences and her wonderfully calming voice just makes her class so unique.

I love my weekly sessions. Her space is the perfect safe haven, filled with love and great energy. I’ve never felt stronger, more in-tuned with my mind and body or as centred.

I absolutely encourage you to book a session and assure you that you will not be disappointed!”

“When I moved to London I found it hard to get back into my Yoga practice and really priorities that time for me. When I met Issi, she brought the spark back and I found myself committing to her classes weeks in advance.

The way I would describe Issi’s class I believe is a direct reflection of her as a person; Nurturing and calm, has an exciting energy about trying new things, while always with a smile on her face.

Issi has a true interest in building relationships with her students which is one of the many things that makes me, and other students, continually come back to her classes..”
